Itinerary

Departure from Quito
Pick up at the hotel and departure southbound along Avenida de los Volcanes. During the trip, enjoy panoramic views of Andean volcanoes and rural landscapes of the Ecuadorian Sierra.

Visit to Rose Plantation
Arrival at one of the main rose plantations for export in the Cayambe or Cotopaxi area. Guided tour of the greenhouses where more than 50 varieties of roses are grown. Explanation of the entire process: planting, cultivation, organic pest control, manual harvesting, classification by size and quality, and packaging for export.
11:30 a.m.
Route to Cotopaxi
Continuation of the trip to Cotopaxi National Park. Panoramic stops to photograph the volcano and páramo landscapes. Sightings of wild horses and possibly llamas along the way.
12:30 p.m.
Lunch
Box lunch in the countryside or lunch at a local restaurant near the park with Andean specialties such as potato stew, trout, or beef.
1:30 p.m.
Cotopaxi National Park
Entrance to Cotopaxi National Park (5,897 meters above sea level at the summit). Visit to the Mariscal Sucre Interpretation Center to learn about the park's geology, flora, and fauna. Walk around Limpiopungo Lagoon (3,800 meters above sea level), where you can observe Andean birds such as ducks, Andean gulls, and occasionally condors. Drive up to the parking lot at 4,500 meters above sea level (optional: 45-minute hike to the José Ribas Refuge at 4,800 meters above sea level for the more adventurous).
4:30 p.m.
Return to Quito
Descent from the park and return to Quito via the Pan-American Highway. During the return trip, time to process the day's experiences and enjoy the last views of the Andes.
6:00 p.m.
Arrival in Quito
Arrival at the hotel in Quito. End of the tour with memories of Ecuadorian roses and the majestic Cotopaxi.
